Intergenerational Ministry

Our goal at HPC is to be an intergenerational church. Titus 2 shows us that older men and women are to train younger men and women. In addition, the church is often likened to the family which assumes different ages, background, and cultures worshipping together all connected as one body, as opposed to be fragmented or siloed. One primary way we seek to achieve this is to train the older to know how to disciple, while also exposing the generations to one another regularly for organic, Spirit-led relationships to form.

Family Ministry

Our primary focus in equipping the next generation is through the family. Children are “a reward” and are “like arrows”, ready to be equipped and trained as disciple-makers (Psalm 127). We believe the parents have the greatest and most effective influence over their children by their intentionality, lifestyle, and maturity. Therefore, our main strategy is to equip parents to disciple their children through trainings, resources, etc. As a secondary strategy, we as a church seek to supplement parents by equipping young people through regular Bible teaching on Wednesday nights.

Disabilities Ministry

Our church strives to provide a welcoming environment for everyone, including individuals and families affected by disability. Our goal is to create a space where people of all abilities can learn about God's Word and strengthen their relationship with Christ. We believe that everyone has a valuable role to play in our community and we would love to connect with you and your family and discuss how we can support your needs to help you participate fully in our congregation. Music Ministry

We give great attention to our music ministry as we believe it is a teaching ministry of the church. Therefore, what we sing and how we sing matters. It’s been said that “Theology (study of God) informs and propels our doxology (praise to God).” Choosing songs that are biblically accurate, congregational in nature, yet clear in understanding is our goal. Understanding God’s Word accurately will compel us to praise rightfully (Eph. 5:19; Col. 3:16).

College Ministry

Our church sees the college campus as one of the greatest mission fields in our nation. Most secular colleges and universities are north of 90% in terms of unbelief. Combine that with Psalm 145, which tells us very clearly that we are to declare the greatness of God to the next generation, and this gives us great urgency to reach college students.

The church exists for nothing else but to draw men into Christ and to make them little Christ’s. If they are not doing that, all the cathedrals, clergy, missions, sermons, even the Bible itself, are simply a waste of time.
